CGS is excited to offer a special Summer 2025 Accelerated Track of its mini-grant cohort program, running July 21–August 15. This condensed version of our standard program is designed to support focused course development within a shorter timeframe.
Highlights
Stipend Support
As with Traditional Mini-Grant recipients, participants receive a $500 stipend for their course redevelopment efforts upon successful completion of the program.
Instructional Design Collaboration
Work closely with a dedicated CGS instructional designer to apply evidence-based design strategies in a primarily self-paced 4-week design program.
Milestone-Based Process
Participants following the self-paced track will complete a milestone-based process that includes planning, course revision, and a final technical review to be eligible for the mini-grant.
Outcome
Produce redesigned and updated course modules and assessment plans with improved engagement, assessment structures, accessibility, and alignment with learning objectives. As with Traditional Mini-Grant recipients, you will leave the program equipped with tools and strategies for maintaining and evolving your online courses in the future.
Interested applicants should familiarize themselves with the CGS Faculty Development Cohort Program and the CGS Tiers of ID Support, but note that the truncated timeline of this Special Edition Accelerated Track cohort precludes major course overhauls and can accommodate targeted course revision and updates only.
Eligibility and Requirements
- Faculty must commit to actively engage in the 4-week course revision process.
- Courses must meet identified program or CGS needs and reflect a commitment to innovative pedagogy
Priority is given to instructors who:
- Will be teaching an online asynchronous or hybrid class for CGS in Fall 2025.
- Have not received development funding for this course from CGS in the past two years.
- Are planning focused updates or a modular redesign of their course.
Application
To apply for the Summer 2025 Accelerated Track, please submit a Letter of Interest by Monday, June 30, 2025.
Mini-grants are limited to six (6) participants, so early submission is encouraged.
