Natural Sciences

Do you seek out ways to solve practical problems? A truly multidisciplinary major, our Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences degree gives you the flexibility to combine your passion for the natural world with complex research and hands-on practice. You can choose from courses in such areas as anthropology, biological sciences, chemistry, computer science, geology, mathematics, neuroscience, physics, psychology, and statistics to design a plan that best meets your academic and career goals. Also available are a pre-medicine option, a pre-physician assistant option, and two pre-education options to prepare you for graduate studies in these fields.

Advanced degree options for natural sciences students include a pre-medicine option (for those preparing for the Pitt schools of medicine or dental medicine), a pre-physician assistant option (for those preparing to apply to the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences), and two pre-education options (for those preparing for the Master of Arts in Teaching Program at the School of Education).
