2023 ASL Alpha Chi Inductees

Alpha Sigma Lambda's Alpha Chi Chapter, here within the College of General Studies, recognized 19 students this spring during its Induction Ceremony on March 30th, 2023.

Darlene Alston
Legal Studies
 
Darlene is a senior at Pitt. Her degree will be in Legal Studies. She worked at UPMC’s Braddock and Presbyterian Hospitals, and also worked for Community College of Allegheny County where she obtained an associate degree in Business Management and was inducted into the honor society.

 

 

 

Kriss Boyce
Health Services
 
Kriss is a senior at Pitt, majoring in Health Services. She is also pursuing certificates in Children’s Literature and American Sign Language ASL and has been a licensed Signing Time Instructor since 2016.

 

 

 

Hannah Hayes
Health Services
 
Hannah is a senior at Pitt and a Health Services major, specializing in the Managing Health Services Programs and Projects track. After graduation, she plans to continue her career in medical research.

 

 

 

Monte Labash
Natural Sciences
 
Monte is a senior at Pitt majoring in the Natural Sciences applying physician assistant programs after graduation. He is also President of CGS's Student Government, he also contributed to the Student Health Advisory Board and the Wellness Consortium. 

 

 

 

Samantha "Bret" Morgan
Natural Sciences
 
Bret is a Junior majoring in Natural Sciences. She also holds a bachelors degree in Linguistics and hopes to apply to Vet schools this summer.

 

 

 

 

Kriti Sanghi
Media & Professional Comm.
 
Kriti is pursuing a major in Media and Professional Communications, with a specialization in Digital Media. She plans to work in the fields of marketing and public relations after graduation.

 

 

 

Bryanna Snyder
Media & Professional Comm.
 
Bryanna is majoring in the Media and Professional Communications specializing in Corporate and Community Relations. Her goal is to use the skills she has learned in digital media and professional communication to transition into a career where she can create stories through design.

 

 

 

Trevor Wilson
Health Services
 
Trevor is in Health Services where he specializes in Managing Health Service Programs and Projects.
Natalie Belin
Humanities
 
Natalie is a Senior at Pitt majoring in Humanities with an emphasis on Theatre, Music, and Studio Arts. Her blog, The Many Colors of Natalie, focuses on people who live around the Pittsburgh region and  are in the entertainment industry.  Additionally, she works at Pitt as a Program Administrator at the Undergraduate Program in Rehabilitation Science.  

 

 

 

Matthew Greenberger
Health Services
 
Matthew is majoring in Health Services. He served in the US Army for a total of 8 years and also worked as a finance manager for Lincoln and sales consultant for Mercedes-Benz.

 

 

 

Alison Koposko 
Health Services
 
Alison is currently a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Services with a focus on program and project management. She also served seven years in the United States Air Force as a mental health technician.

 

 

 

Joshua Lowe 
Natural Sciences
 
Josh is majoring in Natural Science with my focus on statistics.

 

 

 

 

Ian Neumaier 
Legal Studies
 
Ian is majoring in Legal Studies and Philosophy.  He’s a Frederick Honors College participant, a member of the Chancellor’s Public Safety Advisory Council, and Student Disability Resources Council.

 

 

Branden Shaver
Professional & Media Comm.
 
Branden is a Marine Corps veteran who is majoring in Communications with a focus in media, minor in Economics and Criminal Justice, and certificate in Leadership. Branden served as the Vice President of Student Veterans of America (University of Pittsburgh chapter) and serves as the business manager and a student leader in Chi Alpha campus ministry (University of Pittsburgh chapter).
 
 
 
 
 
Chance Thomas
Health Services
 
Chance is majoring in Health Services. He served as a Military Police Officer in the US Navy and serves as the Diversity Chair for Pitt Vets, the Pittsburgh chapter of Student Veterans of America. Chance is also the current Delta Alpha Pi Iota chapter President, an International Honor Society for students with disabilities.
