Ben Kubacki, MA

Ben completed a bachelor’s degree at Wheaton College in the Chicago suburbs before teaching high school social studies in Cleveland, Ohio and gaining leadership development through Teach For America. Prior to joining CGS, Ben pursued his MA in Applied Linguistics at Pitt to enhance his own learning and explore his interest in language education. During his degree, he focused on gaining practical opportunities with adult English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners, including teaching, interning with Literacy Pittsburgh, and supporting the English Language Institute at Pitt. He pursued a professional certificate in Language Program Administration Professional through Carnegie Mellon University to gain further transferable skills. He now works as an Academic Coach at Study Lab and helps coordinate services for nontraditional students at the McCarl Center. He is passionate about helping students develop learning strategies that are effective and meaningful to achieve academic success across disciplines.
