A proud Pittsburgh Panther, Shannon graduated with both her BS in Mathematics and her MAT in Secondary Education in Mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh. After taking some time to teach in the public schools, she decided to return back to her alma mater to teach at the collegiate level in the math department in the Fall of 2017 as an adjunct professor. A year later, in the fall of 2018, she decided to pursue her full-time passion of supporting students by looking into academic advising, which brought her here to the College of General Studies. She currently serves as an academic advisor and still teaches part-time with math, and she's very happy and thankful to be a part of the CGS team!
