The CGS Student Government is hiring for the 2026-2027 Academic Year!
Here are the eligible positions and a description of each:
- Engagement Chair: The Engagement Chair manages CGSSG’s communications, marketing, and social media presence. This role connects CGS students to events and resources.
- Events Planning Chair: The Events Planning Chair comes up with fun and educational events, works with the engagement chair to promote events, and collaborates with different departments and student organizations.
- Judicial Affairs Chair: The Judicial Affairs Chair ensures fair elections, upholds the Constitution, and maintains transparency within CGSSG operations. They oversee elections and appointments, guide members on governance and due process, update key documents, and handle constitutional reviews, amendments, and hearings.
- Wellness Chair: The Wellness Chair promotes student health and wellbeing through events, awareness campaigns, and partnerships with campus wellness offices.
- General Board Member: General Council Members support the functioning of CGSSG through committee work, event participation, and student outreach.
Responsbilities:
- Attend a biweekly meeting with the entire CGSSG board
- Join one University Senate committee
- Participate in other CGS events
