Today’s media organizations produce content across multiple platforms. The Digital Media track introduces you to a variety of creative tools—from audio and video to graphic design—so you can craft and share compelling stories. By the end of the program, you will have honed practical production skills and gained a strong foundation in media fundamentals, including photography, film, and digital storytelling.
Degree Requirements
Students must earn a minimum of 120 credits for the Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in media and professional communications. Of this total, the major consists of 36 credits:
- 12 credits of required core courses;
- 24 credits in the Digital Media track (including internship)

Program Notes
English composition (ENGCMP) courses and writing-intensive courses (officially designated as W courses in the catalog) that are taken for the Media and Professional Communications major must be passed with a grade of C or higher (grades of C- or lower are not acceptable).

These courses provide a foundation in media systems, history, writing, and ethics.
Track Curriculum (24 Credits)
Students in the Digital Media track focus on creating, producing, and managing content across digital platforms. An internship is included to provide hands-on professional experience.
