Lambda Alpha Epsilon

Who We Are

Lambda Alpha Epsilon (The Grand Chapter) is the National American Criminal Justice Association. We here at the University of Pittsburgh represent the Alpha Psi Omega chapter of region Composed of Administration of Justice, Legal Studies, and Law, Criminal Justice, and Society majors and minors.

Our Mission

Our mission is to connect as many Administration of Justice, Legal Studies, and Law, Criminal Justice, and Society students to employers already established in the field, as well as to educate members on the complexity of the criminal justice system. *The CGS LAE chapter is not active at the moment. If you are an LCJS major and want to take part in reviving it, please contact Wes Hiers, Director of LCJS.

Another option is Legal Pathways, a currently active SORC-registered group. If you would like to learn more about this group, please contact the student group president, Alexandra Benjamin.

There is overlap between the groups, but generally speaking LAE, organized under the American Criminal Justice Association (ACJA), is more oriented to the criminal justice professions and Legal Pathways to the legal professions.
