Are you looking for a paid leadership position?
Do you want to help advocate for students in your CGS major?
If so, apply to be a CGS Student Ambassador position by Sunday, September 14th!
We understand that CGS is a smaller school within Pitt, and it can be hard to meet and connect with people within your major. That’s why we want to have CGS Student Ambassadors act as representatives for students within their majors— so that your voices can be amplified and more connections can be made.
CGS is looking to onboard one student ambassador per major (i.e. Natural Sciences, Media and Professional Communications, etc.), and we hope to have a diverse group of CGS student ambassadors, including both traditional and nontraditional students.
CGS Ambassadors will be compensated at a rate of $25 per hour for each CGS event they attend. Ambassadors are required to attend a minimum of three CGS events per semester. There is no weekly time commitment! Attendance is based solely on participation in events throughout the term. Payments will be issued at the end of each semester, once attendance has been verified and the minimum event requirement has been met.
We look forward to reviewing your application, so make sure to submit yours by the deadline of Sunday, September 14th!
List of Responsibilities for Ambassadors:
- Attend CGS and CGS Student Government (CGSSG) events (at least three per semester)
- Follow CGSSG on Instagram (@cgs_sgb) and repost our posts
- Advertise CGS & CGSSG events to professors in your major

- *Optional: if there’s an initiative you came up with and want to help lead, please contact CGSSG to discuss this further
