Public Service Minor
The Public Service minor provides an opportunity to explore public service through coursework in public policy, ethics, administration, and related areas.
Current Pitt students interested in a CGS minor, rather than a major, in public service should apply for the minor directly with the College of General Studies. If you are a CGS student interested in adding this minor, please contact your CGS advisor.
Program Highlights

Minor Requirements
In order to complete the minor, you will take 15 PUBSRV credits (five courses), as outlined below. At least three courses must be from the University of Pittsburgh. A 2.0 average GPA is required. Courses used for a minor cannot overlap with courses used for a major, minor, or a certificate.
Core Courses: 9 credits
All three courses are required. Please note that not all courses are offered each term. Review the program checklist for the typical frequency of course offerings and visit Class Search for the most up-to-date information.
Electives: 6 credits
Choose two courses from the list of approved electives.
