How do I RSVP?
All students receiving a BA or BS from CGS who have applied for April or August 2019 graduation were sent an email with a link to the RSVP survey on Thursday, February 14, 2019. If you have not received this email and believe it is in error, please contact CGS’ Administrative Coordinator Lydia Heyliger at LMH145@pitt.edu.
What time should I arrive and where should I report?
Graduates should arrive between 5-5:45 p.m. to ensure an on-time ceremony start time of 6:00 p.m.
Are cap and gown required for the CGS Graduation Recognition Ceremony?
No, regalia is not required for the CGS Graduation Recognition Ceremony, though it is required for the Spring 2019 University of Pittsburgh Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony.
Are guest tickets required/how many guests may I bring?
Due to the venue's large seating capacity, tickets are not required for guests and graduates may invite as many guests as they would like.
If I attend the CGS ceremony, can I also attend the Undergraduate Commencement in April 2019?
Yes, all University students graduating in August 2018, December 2018, and April 2019 will be invited to the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony, coordinated by the Office of Special Events. Please view their site for more information (https://www.commencement.pitt.edu). Note: August 2019 graduates will have to contact the Office of Special Events at email@example.com if they are interested in participating in the April 2019 event with following: Full Name (First, Middle, Last), Pitt Email, Degree, and School.
Will I get my diploma at the CGS Graduation Reception and Recognition Ceremony?
No. Diplomas will be mailed once grades have been finalized. For more information, contact the registrar’s office (https://registrar.pitt.edu/graduation.html). Graduates will receive a diploma cover as they cross the stage.
