
The Dental Hygiene B.S. Degree Completion Program is designed for licensed dental hygienists with an accredited certificate or associate degree. Admission is competitive, and applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Graduate of an accredited Certificate or Associate degree program in Dental Hygiene
- Current Dental Hygiene License
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
Degree Requirements
- Completion of 131 total credits (transfer credits + Pitt coursework)
- At least 30 credits at the 1000 (junior/senior) level completed at Pitt
- Completion of all specialization, general education, and elective requirements
- Students transferring from Pitt's Associate in Dental Hygiene program complete 40 credits of CGS coursework
- All courses must be completed within five years of enrollment
Transfer Credits
Students who completed a dental hygiene certificate at Pitt before 1995, or who earned an associate degree from another institution, should contact Krista Stokes, CGS dental hygiene academic advisor, for a transfer credit evaluation.
