Completing this form indicates your agreement to have the certificate or minor automatically added to your student plan if you meet CGS minor and/or certificate requirements for admission. Some certificate programs have additional entry and/or prerequisite requirements. Be sure to review our program information carefully before submitting the CGS Minor/Certificate Declaration form.
Overlap Restrictions
When pursuing a CGS minor or certificate, please be mindful of the CGS overlap policy (for more information on the policy, please visit this page and scroll down to "Overlapping Courses Between Majors, Certificates, and Minors"):
For CGS minors:
- No course overlap is permitted with another minor, certificate, or major within or outside of CGS.
For CGS certificates:
- Only a maximum of two courses may overlap with a major in another school
- No course overlap is permitted with a certificate in another school
- Only a maximum of two courses may overlap with a major or certificate within CGS
