Types of Advising Appointments

Advising Walk-In Appointments for Spring (2184) Term:

Academic Advising for CGS Students or *Pitt Students interested in CGS.

January 22nd to April 20th 2018-Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.

A College of General Studies advisor is available daily for walk-in sessions or phone inquiries.  These appointments are typically between 10-15 minutes.  

Note: You cannot have your advising hold lifted during a walk-in appointment.

 *These students may also schedule an appointment by calling 412-624-6600.    

Prospective Non-Pitt Students - Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Individual Advising Appointments

Make an individual appointment with an advisor if you have questions pertaining to the following issues: major or minor issues, internships, academic holds, personal issues, add/drop/withdraw/resignation decisions, graduation review, career planning.

Regular business hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. during the Fall and Spring terms.  Regular office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the Summer term.
