You are required to make a graduation appointment with your advisor when registering for classes for your final term. During this appointment, you and your advisor review all the requirements and plan for your last term, as well as share details concerning commencement and graduation ceremonies at the University.
You should schedule your graduation appointment at the beginning of the registration period for the graduation term. For April graduation, schedule your appointment for late October, schedule in mid-February for an August graduation, and mid-March for a December graduation. Once final grades are certified, you are notified that your degree has been awarded. Final grades are available about a week after the term; diplomas and transcripts are available about six weeks after the end of the term.
If you have applied for graduation but will not finish your classes, you must contact your advisor so that you can be removed from the graduation roster. You will need to reapply for the following term’s graduation.
Spring Term 2015 Graduation Application Deadline without a late fee is January 21, 2015.
Summer Term 2015 Graduation Application Deadline without a late fee is June 1, 2015.
Fall Term 2015 Graduation Application Deadline without a late fee is September 11, 2015.
