Katz School of Business Presentation: The CPA Exam and 150 Credit Hours

If you are an Accounting major and intend on taking the CPA exam, please attend this one hour session. The presentation will cover:

1. Purpose of 150 credit hours

2. Skillset necessary to be a successful professional

3. Options on attaining 150 credit hours

4. New format of the CPA exam

There will be time for questions during the last 15 minutes of the presentation.

Math Workshop: Tactics for Math Success

Tactics for Math Success is a workshop for anyone who needs to take a math course at Pitt, but is hesitant to enroll for any reason. Leave your calculators at home, but come and hear the discussion debunking common math myths. Download Workshop Flyer.

Writing Workshop: How to Write a Medical Research Paper

Friday, March 17, 2:00 - 3:00 pm (April Flynn)

In this short workshop writing tutor April Flynn will give a brief overview of the process for researching and writing medical research papers. She will give students some “best practice” tips and walk them through a typical writing process. Students will have the chance to ask questions about the specific challenges of writing in health science contexts, or about the challenges of the writing process in general. Internships in Media Panel Discussion

Jessie Irwin will moderate a panel discussion about media internships hosted by Pitt Tonight. The panel will feature students who have held internships for national media companies, including Conan, The Tonight Show, and film studios. Students will discuss networking tips, how they landed the internships, and what they learned from their experience.

All Media & Professional Communication students are encouraged to attend.
