The College of General Studies offers math tutoring within the McCarl Center. Whether you are struggling in a math-related course, need help with an upcoming exam or project, or just want to brush up on basic math skills, we can help.
Tutoring is held during specified walk-in hours or by appointment. Walk-in hours for Spring 2017 term are:
Mondays & Wednesdays 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Fridays 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Tuesdays 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM
To make an appointment outside of walk-in hours, e-mail Donna at email@example.com or Katie at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Online tutoring is also available, using the CGS Math Support Tutor organization through the University of Pittsburgh’s CourseWeb. You must be added to the site prior to the chat to have access to these online sessions. Tactics for Math Success Workshop 4:00 - 5:00 PM
Tactics for Math Success is a workshop for anyone who needs to take a math course at Pitt, but is hesitant to enroll for any reason. Leave your calculators at home, but come and hear the discussion debunking common math myths. In addition, you will have the opportunity to meet the College of General Studies Math Tutor, Donna Rosenberger.
