Advising: Registration Overview

There are several different methods you can utilize to register for your classes once you have created your schedule

1) eRegistration allows College of General Studies students to submit their registration and schedule changes via a web registration form

NOTE:  eRegistration is NOT real time and may take up to two business days to process. An academic advisor will not review your email registration form before it is processed. Students are responsible for verifying whether their registration was processed successfully or unsuccessfully by logging into my.pitt.edu .

eRegistration will not be available for use from August 17, 2007 through the end of add/drop, Friday, September 7, 2007.   Students who want to register or change their registrations after this date must come to the 4th floor of the Cathedral of Learning.  Our office hours are: Monday through Wednesday 8:30-7:00, Thursday and Friday 8:30-5:00.  Registration for the spring term will be available through eRegistration on Thursday October 25, 2007 for seniors, and Monday, October 29, 2007 for underclassmen. Click here to register online.

2) Enrollment at the CGS front desk :  Bring a completed registration form to the CGS Front Desk any time between 8:30 AM and 7:00PM Monday thru Wednesday and between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM Thursday or Friday.  Registration Related Forms can be downloaded from our website.

Tip:  It is wise to register for your classes early to reserve your seat.  You can then check with an advisor regarding your course selections and make any necessary changes.
