McCarl Center for Nontraditional Student Success
Adult students have unique needs, and the McCarl Center for Nontraditional Student Success is the place to go to meet them. The Center, made possible by the generosity of F. James McCarl and his son Foster J.J. McCarl, is a clearinghouse of resources to help you with the transitions that lie ahead. You can find a resource library, meeting rooms and a student lounge. Check your e-mail or surf the Web. Academic advisors are available for meetings-no appointment necessary-from noon to 2 p.m. on weekdays, and the center's director and career counselor are there.
The staff of the McCarl Center can lend a hand with programs designed for getting you oriented to being back in school, brushing up on study skills, exploring different majors and possible careers, refining job search techniques and finding financial aid. Every November, we celebrate Nontraditional Student Week with activities like expanded career counseling, academic success seminars, movies and lectures, and other special events. The McCarl Center for Nontraditional Student Success is your resource for enhanced personal, academic and career success.
